We are currently recruiting for an Estimating & Bid Manager to join our Process & Water team, working on Southern Water contracts and based at our office in Havant. Work comprises of the maintenance and replacement of clean and dirty water infrastructure (M&E and civils). Projects are made up of reactive and planned maintenance as well as project work.

Reporting into the Framework Manager, duties include but are not limited to;

  • Responsible for the estimating & bid process for all Southern Water tenders
  • Managing 3 team members (Estimators & Scoping Engineers)
  • Managing a high-volume workload of projects from £100k - £10m in value
  • Putting together & submitting tender documentation
  • Working closely with the client, managing their requirements and delivering within their timeframes
  • Liaising with the design team, delivery teams and subcontractors
  • Reporting to the Senior Management & Directors

Desired Skills / Background

  • HNC/HND/BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or equivalent or by experience
  • A background in estimating & bids
  • Water or Wastewater background is essential
  • Excellent communication skills with people of all levels
  • Organised and structured in your approach
  • IT literate
