THE ROLE

We have an immediate requirement for an IT Project Manager, to join our IT Team based at our Head Office in Southampton. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation and management of software project delivery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Design & develop in-house IT and software projects throughout the Trant Group, taking full responsibility for their delivery using Prince 2 and Agile and techniques as appropriate
• The initial project will be to design, develop and deliver a new Document Management System to successfully service all departments within the Trant Group
• Ensure the delivery of projects on time, to budget and to a high level of quality
• Maintain, plan and track progress against milestones, deadlines and budget and to report on these items to key stakeholders
• Execute standard Project Management governance such as; Weekly Reports, Action Logs, Issue logs, Project scheduling and Project Closure reports
• Anticipate, manage and resolve issues and act as the point of contact for the IT Software projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prince2 - essential
• PMP certification, and/or ITIL certification would be advantageous but not essential

SKILLS:

• Proven background of successful project implementation
• Agile Practitioner
• Team management experience
• Stakeholder management
• Experience of the whole project life cycle, from initiate to close
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
• Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
• A successful history of budget control
