We have an immediate requirement for an additional IT Technician to join our busy and friendly IT Team, based at our Head Office in Southampton. The majority of the time will be spent in Southampton, with potential travel to external sites (including occasional overnight stays). The position is to assist in first line support to the computer user base within the group. Ideally, candidates should have knowledge of some/all of the following areas, with an emphasis on IT Helpdesk:

  • IT Helpdesk functions
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System
  • Knowledge of PC/Laptop installation, Configuration and Trouble shooting (printer/photocopier)
  • MS Server 2008 onwards
  • MS Server Active Directory
  • Hardware Troubleshooting
  • Company mobile phone management
  • Administration of databases

Qualifications / background:

  • Qualification in IT/Computing – essential
  • ITIL foundation – preferred but not essential
  • Previously worked within an IT Department in a helpdesk capacity

In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with people both on the telephone and face to face. Applicants should have a keen interest and enthusiasm for all IT areas.
