As part of our expansion plan we are seeking a Junior Civil CAD Technician, to join our EPC, multi-disciplinary teams, supporting the design, construction and operations of the Energy, Oil & Gas, Water, International and Process sectors.

The Junior Civils CAD Technician will be working for the CAD Team Leader and BIM Manager.


  • Responsible for the preparation of Computer Aided Design and BIM models in accordance with TEL and/or clients drawing manuals
  • Responsible for preparing detailed civil and structural drawings including but not limited to Steel Frame Buildings, Structural Steelwork, Reinforced Concrete, Drainage and Undergrounds
  • Maintaining drawing file system, issuing of drawings and undertaking of archiving of drawings
  • Assisting with site dimensional surveys for pre and post construction drawings
  • Assisting design engineers in the liaison with clients, suppliers and external sub-contractors to ensure design is completed in accordance with the specification

Key Skills/Background:

Experience in using the following software packages:

  • Revit
  • Autodesk Civil 3D
  • AutoCAD
  • Some working knowledge of PAS 1192 (and associated British Standards)
  • Some knowledge of BIM workflows and requirements of a BIM level 2 project
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Knowledge of safety legislation relating to CDM regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral


  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Computer Aided Design minimum
