We are currently looking for an M&E Supervisor on our Power Station project in the Falkland Islands. 

Initially based with our design team in Southampton, you will be based on the Falkland Islands from January 2021, for a posting lasting 6 months. Providing guidance and supervision with clear communication to the M&E site personnel working on the new power station; working independently, but within the existing management structure established on site and reporting to site and project manager.  Becoming an essential member of that team with a proactive and pragmatic approach to planning works to avoid delay and conflict.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring RAMS & safe systems of work are followed
  • Driving productivity whilst ensuring safety and quality objectives are met
  • Managing the coordination and sequencing of works within the Power Station
  • Liaising with UK design team to resolve queries
  • Taking an active part in site and site/UK meetings

Applicants should come with a background in heavier industrial construction sectors and have following qualifications:

  • SSSTS / SMSTS qualification
  • ECS / JIB card
  • Able to read, understand and effectively communicate drawings and specifications
  • Proven knowledge of HV system installation
  • Understanding of mechanical installation
  • IT literate – MS Office, etc.
  • A clean driving license would be beneficial
  • Island medical infrastructure favours persons in good general health
