As part of our expansion plans we are seeking a MECHANICAL BIM LEADER, with appropriate experience, to join our EPC, multi-disciplinary teams, supporting the design, construction and operations of the Energy, Oil & Gas, Water, International and Process sectors.

The MECHANICAL BIM LEADER will report to the CAD Team Manager, working with the BIM Manager.

Responsibilities:

Leading the MECHANICAL CAD Team developing the deliverables in the following fields:

Plant layouts including: Pipe routing, M&E equipment detailing
Contributing development and implementation of internal BIM standards and working practices
Assisting the BIM Manager inputting into the creation of BEP, PIP, MIDP and CDE
Maintain an up to date knowledge of industry developments, BIM standards best practices and innovations
Keep up to date with latest software development and supporting the CAD Team Manager in developing and customizing new releases of BIM software
Attending industry specific BIM working groups
Delivering in-house training and knowledge sharing workshops
Be experienced in delivering to BS1192 and PAS1192 (all parts)

Key Skills/Background:

Thorough knowledge of safety legislation relating to CDM regulations
Proficient in the use of at least one of the common industry CAD software packages. Typical software used in the Mechanical CAD department include: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, Revit, Navisworks)
IT literate, must be a proficient user of Microsoft packages
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to provide innovative solutions that add value
As well as having a relevant qualification (ONC/NVQ/HND/Degree in Engineering, Computer Aided Design or BIM, you will have previously worked in a similar role.
