Trant Engineering are seeking to recruit an O&M Administrator / Operations & Maintenance Administrator to strengthen our team overseeing our Falklands Power Plant project.

The O&M Administrator / Operations & Maintenance Administrator will strengthen our team overseeing our Falklands Power Plant project.  This role is for an experienced, detail-orientated, skilled, focused and highly motivated person to join the team and assist in delivery of the handover activities of a project through to a successful handover.

Job Role of the O&M Administrator / Operations & Maintenance Administrator:

As the O&M Administrator, you will bring demonstrable discipline site technical clerk experience and practical skills to a small team.  Working closely with the Commissioning Manager, you will assist with all handover activities are executed to meet the project schedule requirements in a safe and effective manner.  You will be accountable for the efficiency, quality and accuracy of the handover documents for the projects you are working on.

You will assist with handover activities, within the agreed constraints of time, quality and cost, whilst maintaining the relationships with the site team.  You will ensure customer satisfaction and quality is always achieved.

Responsibilities of the O&M Administrator / Operations & Maintenance Administrator

The role will entail:

  • Compiling and processing highly technical and specific information.
  • Preparation of operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Proof-reading and standardising technical documentation.
  • Create and administer technical documentation.
  • Reviewing and examine engineering drawings to ensure conformity to established criteria.  Extract information to include in spreadsheet format.
  • Provide Administrative support for the Commissioning and Handover Team.
  • Liaise with Commissioning Managers to ensure requirements and deadlines are being met.
  • Document Filing and retrieval.
  • Dealing with vendors and site team to progress handover documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and requirements or other Quality Manufacturing System would be a benefit.
  • To compile data into an analytical and readable format (spreadsheets and dashboards).

Qualifications, competencies and skills:

  • An industry applicable qualification preferred or relevant work experience. 
  • Power / Industrial project experience preferred.  Previous experience as a site technical clerk would be preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good capability of Microsoft office packages.  MS Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook
  • The candidate must be familiar with engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
