We are currently seeking to recruit a Planner/Workface Planner to join our growing team at Fawley Refinery in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to join an alliance that has been awarded, the Structures Maintenance package for 2022 at the refinery. Working closely with a Project Manager and support team, the Planner/Workface Planner will work together to help execute all work packages.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • Produce overarching schedule to capture all work scope and identify relevant hold points and milestones
  • Produce detailed programmes of specific work areas
  • Produce histograms and reports
  • Measurement of change
  • Identify workface planning requirements and contribute to the process with the team

Desired Skills / Background;

  • Expertise in planning software, ideally Primavera and/or MS Project
  • Experience of Work Face Planning
  • Onsite experience and understanding of multiple disciplines such as civils, mechanicals and electrical
  • Experience of working within a main contracting environment
  • High level of communication and client facing skills
  • Confident and well organized
  • Experience of the Petrochemical industry favoured
  • Requirements:

The ideal candidate will currently, or will have previously, worked as a Planner within the construction/civil engineering sectors. You will have knowledge of Health & Safety within a construction environment and it is essential that you possess good written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to develop and maintain relationships. You must be a self driven individual, with and willingness to learn, that has a passionfor planning to ensure quality and safety excellence in the field.
