Trant Engineering are seeking a Project Manager with experience in Electrical and Mechanical Installations and the treatment processes which are utilised in Wastewater for a position based in our Head office in Southampton and based on our various sites in the Wessex region.

We also provide a range of bespoke modular and containerised water & wastewater treatment and fuel conditioning systems.

We are working on Various water projects in the Wessex region and we have a requirement to recruit a Project Manager to these projects. The work will involve M&E with some civil engineering.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who has technical knowledge and experience of Electrical and Mechanical Installations and the treatment processes which are utilised in Wastewater treatment. In addition they need to have experience and knowledge on the ICA (instrumentation, control and automation) side of treatment works and the system which are used for control of the installations.

In addition, they need to have experience in Management with regard to the administration of contracts and procurement.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing a site team
  • Ensuring project delivery within program & budget
  • Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
  • Client interface
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Progress reporting

Due to the complexity of works, it is essential that applicants have a background in the successful delivery of Mechanical & Electrical (some civils), projects. It may be that you are currently working as a Project Manager or perhaps you are a Senior Site Manager with a background in delivering M&E contracts, seeking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will have an excellent technical ability in this sector and be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team.


  • HND/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or by experience
