We have an immediate requirement to appoint a Project Manager with a background in civil engineering to join our Oil & Gas team. Working on various projects in South and West Wales, you will initially be responsible for the completion of a £7m civil engineering project in Pembroke. Works involve excavation, RC foundations, reinforcement, culverts, pipework etc. and this project is nearing a close.  

Working closely with the Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing up to 2/3 projects at any one time in the Wales region and will be the interface between the site team and the client. You will have responsibility for managing the site management team and the client schedule, ensuring that projects are completed safely within program and budget.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager and working closely with the commercial team, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing up to 2/3 projects at any one time
  • Completing projects within programme & budget
  • Ensuring the highest level of safey at all times whilst also controlling quality & environmental activities
  • Client interface
  • Progress reporting to both client team and Trant Project Manager

Due to the complexity of works, it is essential that applicants have a background in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects. It may be that you are currently working as a Project Manager or perhaps you are a Senior Site Agent with a background in delivering civils contracts and are now seeking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will have an excellent technical ability in this sector and be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team.

Qualifications;

  • HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or by experience
