We currently have an immediate requirement to recruit a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer to work on civil engineering projects at Fawley Refinery in Southampton. Projects vary from £500k - £5m and are civil engineering works, typically comprising of RC structures, roads and enabling works. We are open to receiving applications either from individuals looking for permanent employment or self-employed contractors. Reporting into the SHEQ Manager and working closely with the Project Manager, duties include but are not limited to;

  • Communicate Quality Assurance requirements across the site/s
  • Management of inspection and production records
  • Frequent review of various production checklists
  • QA planning activity
  • Review/amend/write Quality Assurance documentation following company procedures and using supporting forms
  • Ensure QA Documentation is in place prior to excavation or using any product on site
  • Monitor and measure Management System effectiveness
  • Attend site meetings
  • Attend SHEQ meetings
  • Facilitate improvement actions, ensuring they are implemented and closed within agreed timescales
  • Supply chain assessments and monitoring

Background:

You will be working in a Quality Assurance role currently/previously and must have a background in construction or civil engineering. Oil/Gas/Petrochemical experience would also be desirable but not essential.
