We currently have an immediate requirement to recruit a Quality Assurance /Quality Control Engineer to work at our Southampton Head office on a major Power Plant Project for the Falklands Islands.

The Quality Assurance /Quality Control Engineer will work on a major Power Plant Project for the Falklands Islands. Occasional travel to the Falklands may be required.

The project also consists of civil engineering works.

We are open to receiving applications either from individuals looking for permanent employment or self-employed contractors. Reporting into the International Manager and working closely with the Project Manager, duties include but are not limited to;

  • Communicate Quality Assurance/Quality Control requirements across the site/s
  • Management of inspection and production records
  • Frequent review of various production checklists
  • QA/QC planning activity
  • Review/amend/write Quality Assurance documentation following company procedures and using supporting forms
  • Ensure QA/QC Documentation is in place prior to excavation or using any product on site
  • Monitor and measure Management System effectiveness
  • Attend site meetings
  • Attend SHEQ meetings
  • Facilitate improvement actions, ensuring they are implemented and closed within agreed timescales
  • Supply chain assessments and monitoring

Requirements:

You will be working in a Quality Assurance/ Quality Control role currently/previously and must have a background in construction or civil engineering.

Power Plant experience would also be desirable but not essential.

Experience in working with MOD projects is highly desirable.

International project experience is desirable.
