The SHE Advisor will be responsible for monitoring Safety, Health & Environmental compliance  across a variety of projects throughout our area of operation in the UK.   

Duties include but are not limited to:

The roles of the Senior SHEQ advisor is to support the H&S Manager in :

  • Developing, updating company operating standards
  • Monitoring compliance with company policies and processes
  • And to assist in the development and progression of Field SHEQ advisors primarily with regards to health, safety and wellbeing.

In addition, site support and compliance inspections may be required where the Senior SHEQ advisor shall:

  • Advise and guide personnel working on projects with regards to the implementation of the company SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Support the Managers in the production, review and implementation of the relevant Project Management Plans / Construction Phase Plans and project SHEQ documentation.
  • To work with and assist all Managers and Staff to ensure risk assessments and controls are suitable and sufficient.
  • Undertake regular site SHEQ inspections and assist the site teams with closing out issues that are identified during inspections and audits.
  • To liaise with client and contractor representatives in order to establish good working relationships in relation to SHEQ management of sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate working towards Diploma/NVQ6
  • NEBOSH National Diploma NVQ6 preferred but not essential subject to experience.
  • Membership of a suitable professional body IOSH/IIRSM
  • We are keen to receive applications from individuals who are currently working in a SHE/ H&S position within engineering in an energy, Oil, gas process and water environment.
  • An Environmental and or quality qualification is advantageous.
  • Communications skills
  • IT software proficiency, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Training qualification PTLLS/AET (Award in Education and Training) advantageous
