The Role:

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our team based from our Regional office in Altrincham. Your first project will be to manage site staff and subcontractors, delivering the demolition and new construction of a £10m fuel storage facility in Manchester. This a multi-disciplinary project comprising of civil engineering, construction and mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation works.  Reporting to the Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include (but are not be limited to):

  • Overseeing the site delivery team
  • Writing RAMS
  • Ensuring project delivery is in line with the programme
  • Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times
  • Diary management
  • Client interface & daily team liaison
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Progress reporting

Due to the complexity of works, it is essential that applicants have a strong background in the successful delivery of Mechanical & Electrical projects within a safety critical environment and will ideally have a good knowledge of the requirements for installation of Control and Instrumentation solutions. You will be either a Mechanical or an Electrical Engineer with a confident understanding of both disciplines. Currently working as a Site Manager, you will possess excellent technical ability in this sector and be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team whilst delivering projects safely and successfully.

Qualifications:

  • HND/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • BS 7671: 2018 18th Edition Regulations
