APPRENTICE ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS

SOUTHAMPTON

We are recruiting for 4 x Apprentice Electrical Design Engineers to join our Design Team at our Head Office in Southampton. This is an Apprenticeship spanning 42 months and the first year will be classroom based full time at SETA (Southampton Engineering Training Association) in Millbrook, Southampton. After this, it will be work-based and as well as working, the Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer will attend College one day per week. At the end of the 3 years Apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Engineering design and draughtsperson qualification. 

The main focus for the Apprentice after leaving SETA will initially be to produce the project specific design deliverables, including:

o   CAD Drawings

o   Produce cable schedule

o   Create instrumentation schedule

The Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer will then go on to learn more and will eventually, under the guidance of a mentor, begin to design. 

Qualifications/skills:

·         GCSE Maths & Science (grade 7 and above)

·         An interest in all things electrical

·         Confident in using MS office

·         Keen to learn

·         Hardworking

·         Team Player
