Motor Vehicle Technician – Southampton
Trant Engineering Limited is a multi discipline Engineering & Construction company, with offices and projects throughout the UK and Overseas. We have a number of different divisions including Energy, Oil & Gas, Water & Process, International and Control & Automation.
We have a dedicated Plant and Transport division that services and maintains our fleet of vehicles and plant across the business, and we are currently looking for motor vehicle technicians to join our existing team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Servicing, mechanical repairs and diagnostics of cars and light commercial vehicles from various manufacturers at our facility in Totton.
· Attending sites for routine maintenance and repair
Applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to health & safety ensuring that tasks are planned and executed safely and efficiently.
Required Skills/Qualifications
· NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance repair
· Or time served technician / mechanic with appropriate practical experience.
· A Second-year apprentice would be considered.
· Full UK driving licence
· Good written and spoken English
Hours of work 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
