PROJECT ENGINEER

EXETER 

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer with a background in civil and marine, to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that will be delivering clean and dirty water projects on the Isles of Scilly. Based from our offices in Exeter, this role will involve occasional visits to the Isles of Scilly sites. The Project Engineer will be reporting to a Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting all technical and commercial aspects of civil, marine, electrical, and mechanical installations on site. Candidates ideally will be qualified in civil engineering but should have a good appreciation of all professions. 

Role & Responsibilities: 

·         Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings

·         Produce and review electrical & mechanical design documentation

·         Produce specifications and outline designs

·         Procurement of Civil & Marine equipment and support for subcontract procurement

·         Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards

·         Record and Review as-built information

·         Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements

·         Programme Updates

·         Procurement schedules 

Qualifications/Competency: 

·         Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering

·         Water Engineering background preferred but not essential

·         Good working Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures

·         Microsoft Office and CAD packages

·         Good appreciation of Excel to a ‘Higher’ level
